Ceramic Art

Being a painter for many years, I recently decided to bring some of the visual stories I used to explore on paper and canvas onto the surfaces of functional ceramics.  The potential for people to interact with the art excited me.  I liked the idea of my images, characters and stories becoming a part of people's ordinary routines. 

We have been making decorative ware for thousands of years, each piece marking a time and place in history, as well as telling us a little about the people who lived then.  That I can add some small piece of my narrative to that epically long tale is both humbling and wonderful to me.  That I can weave it into the experience of others is a true honor.
